Orange County: renovation and leak diagnosis

Monroe homeowners: a free thermal heat-loss check, and 10% off your renovation quote for homes built in 1978 or later — for the first 20 homes this season.

A free thermal check for any home, whatever its age. 10% off your written renovation quote, for homes built in 1978 or later. For the first 20 homes in Monroe this season.

Before the winter, a thermal camera shows where your house is most likely losing heat — around windows and doors, at the attic, along the walls — and where water may be getting in. We walk through the house with the camera and a moisture meter, show you the images on the spot, and send you what we found in writing.

What the free check includes

• A walk-through of the house with a thermal camera, inside and out
• The spots where heat escapes: around windows and doors, at the attic hatch, where the walls meet the ceiling
• Cool, damp patterns that can point to water getting in — each one checked with a moisture meter
• The images and a short written summary, sent to you after the visit

The camera works best when it is colder outside than inside, so autumn mornings and evenings are the best time.
