Every job is different — access, condition, what's behind the wall. To get a real price, send us photos of the area. One of our team reviews them, and if needed comes out to look, and only then do you get a firm written quote. That review is free. Plumbing, electrical, gas and HVAC work is done by licensed trades, coordinated with us — it is not priced here.

Worked out from the same material and labour tables we quote real jobs with — not market averages. Each figure is the low end of the range the calculator above shows, for a standard 8 ft ceiling, materials and labour included.
| Room size | Prep & paint | Drywall + paint | Full (walls + floor) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 × 10 ft | $1,400 | $3,425 | $4,450 |
| 12 × 12 ft | $1,725 | $4,175 | $5,625 |
| 16 × 20 ft | $2,925 | $6,575 | $9,725 |
Flooring alone runs about $1,450 for a 12 × 12 room. A base cabinet installed is about $464.
For a full kitchen, usually not. $10,000 covers cabinets refaced or replaced with stock units, and paint in a small kitchen. A full gut — new layout, new floor and counters — starts well above that. We will tell you which one your budget buys before you commit to anything.
$30,000 sits at the lower end of a mid-range kitchen here. It buys new cabinets, counters, flooring, lighting and paint in a normal-sized kitchen, provided the layout stays as it is. Most mid-range kitchens in the Hudson Valley land between $30,000 and $60,000; changing the layout, structural changes or stone counters push past that.
Most kitchens we do land between $25,000 and $60,000. The two things that move it most are whether the layout stays in place, and cabinet grade — cabinets are usually the single largest line.
Cabinets, almost always — usually a quarter to a third of the whole budget. Worth knowing in 2026: imported cabinets carry a 25% tariff that is scheduled to rise in January 2027, so a kitchen booked this year is likely to cost less than the same kitchen next year. After cabinets it is anything that changes the layout, because it pulls in permits and wall repair.
For the room itself — prep, paint, drywall where needed and flooring — about $4,450 in our tables. Cabinets, counters and appliances are on top of that and are what set the final number.
Because we measure our own work. We know how many man-hours a room takes because we track it on every job, so we can quote from data instead of guessing. That is also why the quote we give is the price you pay.
